Overview
Problem
When a member has an accident they must fill out the subrogation questionnaire to determine if BCBS will cover the claim if one is needed pertaining to the accident. Prior to this project the member would only have access to the questionnaire via us postal mail or by calling in and speaking to a representative. This process caused many issues such as user incorrectly filling out the form and having to restart the process. Members also had to deal with high call volume and long holds when calling in.
Solution
The solution to the problem is to make the questionnaire available on line via our website. In order to get this done our team of developers and engineers needed a flow chart and wireframe of the process that was going to take place when a member has an accident and needs to fill out the forms. I was selected to build the flowchart and work with the team of designers in developing a wireframe for the process.
